INSPECTION ON RECEIPT
It is essential to carry out the inspection when the consignee picks up merchandise at the destination port. Advice here below is very important for importing merchandise from other countries (or areas), well follow it can mostly reduce the risk during the long distance transportation.

In case of any risk on sea shipment, it is indispensable for the clients to buy the insurance on shipment for asking for the compensation if any damage happens. Moreover, the careful inspection is necessary to be executed at the destination port.
It should be noted that any damaged claim must be filed within 15 days of receipt, or claims will not be honored.
The main aspects for inspection lies in the quantity and package at the destination port. When merchandise are on board, the quantity always complys with what is shown on bill of lading. The total packages are checked on destination port in case that there is any loss during the long time transportation or transshipment. If there is any loss, the consignees shall not pick up the merchandise and sign on receipt until the shipping forwarder (at the destination port) shows the loss declaration, which is be indispensable to make a claim during the following negotiation.
The inspection on packages needs to be paid higher attention to by the consignees, not only the crate, but also the seal if for FCL (Full Container Load ). If there is any distinct damage or dubious aspects on crate or seal (if for FCL), the consignee has the right to refuse the confirmation on receipt. It is notable that even though our machines are packed with the firm wooden crate, any dubious aspects such as the short cracks or small holes can cause the big damage inside.
The procedure to make a claim if the merchandise are damaged by the shipment is as follows:
Firstly, the consignee must take the photos of the damage and require the local shipping forwarder or the third party (such as notary office) to witness the damage on the crate as soon as they find any damage at port before signing the receipt. Otherwise, any damage which is only found when the merchandise are taken will never be recognized by the shipping company.
Secondly, the result will come out in 3 working days normally after the inspection report is carried out by the local shipping forwarder together with the shipping company.
If the damage is caused by the transportation which is declared clearly on the notification from the shipping company, the following information must be prepared to enable a proper claim to be filed with the shipping company as follows:
the description of damage
B) the inspection report or the other witness material
C) the copy of the purchase order
D) the original insurance bill
E) copy of bill of lading, packing list and commercial invoice
The inspection on receipt should be always carried out strictly and completely by the consignee at the destination port in case of any loss.
